"A Word From Rev. McWhite...."

We have been waiting for you! It is true, because we believe that every person who comes into the circle of this special fellowship was sent by God Himself. It is not by accident that we have joy of meeting you. So, above all else we want to express Christ's love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. We are eager to know you, and we are excited to share with you the marvelous work God is doing in our church.

It will not take you long to discover that this is truly a family, rich in the relationships that matter most. Growing together, we worship, we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with life-transforming truth. Our doors are always open. Our hearts are open, too. If you have been thinking, praying, searching, and hoping for a place to belong, we say again, "Welcome."

"A Word From Preacher George"

Again, let me say a BIG "THANK YOU" to all of you who brought items and brought items and then brought more. Can you believe, we, as a church, collected more than 2,500 pounds of food to go to Nettie, West Virginia food bank. That went way over our goal of 1,000 pounds of food. THANK YOU so MUCH! We never counted the pounds of clothing you sent. Let's just say it was A LOT! The clothing closet there and the church appreciates it so much. And the "UNBELIEVABLE 206 BACK PACKS" stuffed full of back-to-school items will be a much needed relief for parents to help get their children back ready for school.

Matthew 25: 35-40 says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me...."Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you, or thirsty, and give you something to drink?" ..."When did we see you needing clothes and clothe you?"..... and He replied, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me." NIV

Continue to pray as we go and minister. We have a total of 24 on our mission team. It is difficult to share Christ when someone has physical needs to be met first. That is why we take and share food and clothing first, then share Christ's love second. We will have a follow up Mission Report on Sunday, August 15th. Anicipate hearing what God has done and is doing in West Virginia. We appreciate all your efforts to make this trip possible. A reminder to our youth and parents, our youth are going on a retreat Labor Day Weekend.
