Sunday School
Sunday School is the Foundational strategy in a local
church for leading people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
and for building on-mission Christians through open Bible
Study groups that engage people in evangelism, discipleship,
ministry, fellowship, and worship.
We have Sunday School Classes for all age groups!
Bring-a-friend and join us on Sunday!
Music Ministry
Calvary's Choir is comprised of many talented men,
women and children. The choir plays an important role in our
Worship services. Our Music Director is Mrs. Melissa Champy.
We are always looking for "new talent" to fill our choir.
If you are interested in
joining, please see Melissa or any of our gifted choir members.
Brotherhood
Calvary's Brotherhood is comprised of men with a true
desire to serve the Lord. They focus on projects to enhance
and better our church, and tackling those urgent special needs
that are sure to arise throughout the year. We invite you to
take part in this important, as well as rewarding ministry of
our church.
Women on Mission
Calvary's WOM (Women on Mission) is a missions
organization for women (ages 18 and up) through which women
pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about
missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and
participate in the work of the church and the denomination.
These women meet the last Wednesday at 7:00 pm of every month.
They exist to serve the local church and association.
The purpose of all Women on Mission activities is that every
person have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
The "heart" of Women on Mission is to help women create their
own missions vision by enabling them to: Recognize their status
in Christ (Galatians 4:7, Ephesians 1:3-14); Find an entry
point to fulfill Christ’s purpose in their lives (Jeremiah
29:11-13, Romans 8:28); Reflect the highest ideals of Christian
living (Ephesians 4:1, 1 Thessalonians 2:8); See their lives as
set apart for the gospel (Galatians 1:15-16a, 2 Timothy 1:6-14);
Affirm God’s call both individually and corporately (1 Peter
2:9); Reach beyond themselves to a global vision (Acts 1:8,
2:17); Commit to a rewarding missions lifestyle
(Colossians 3:12-17, Philemon 6)
Senior Adults
Our Senior Adults are comprised of men and women ages 55 +. These
men and women lend wisdom, stability and other great strengths
to our congregation. We fully realize that "older" does not
necessarily imply "less active". We seek to meet the needs of senior
adults through various ministry and age-appropriate activities.
They meet on the second Thursday of each month for lunch at various
locations throughout the area. They are a very vital and active
part of our fellowship.
Audio/Video Ministry
In 1993, Calvary started its Audio Ministry with Alan Champy
as our Audio Technician. Every Sunday at 12:30 NOON you can tune
in to WDOG radio 93.5 FM and hear "Reflections from Calvary."
It's a radio progam that has a special song from our choir and
last week's sunday message from our morning worship service.
In 1998, Calvary started its Video Ministry with John and
Stephanie Stephens as our Video Technicians. Though we are
not yet equipped to have our services on television,
VHS and DVD copies are available to anyone who wish to watch. Our
members deliver copies each week to the sick and shut-ins,
who are unable to attend church. For many, this is the only church
they see.
Our Audio/Video Ministry has continued to grow through the years,
from newer cameras to a new room! In 2001, the church began and finished
construction on an Audio/Video Room. The pictures below give a glimpse
as how the room appears today. Throughout this ministry, we
feel we have been truly blessed to know that our work
has helped those who needed to hear God's word.
